INVITE US TO YOUR CHURCH OR EVENT.
Meet our speakers.
John and Kay are conversational and captivating speakers to invite to your church or event.
John Hodge
John is a gifted Bible teacher, peacebuilder, and cross-cultural communicator passionate about equipping the next generation to follow Jesus with courage, wisdom, and a deep love for others.
Born and raised in Nigeria, John is the son of missionary Bible scholars who helped pioneer All Nations Bible College under Archbishop Benson Idahosa. As a “third-culture kid,” John’s early life was shaped by the unique intersection of Nigeria, Australia, and the UK, where he completed his schooling and went on to study Law at university in London.
Drawn to ministry and social impact, John moved to Australia after his studies, started a business supporting agricultural development in Nigeria, and trained for pastoral ministry in a charismatic Baptist church. In 2016, he and his wife Kay returned to Nigeria to serve at a non-denominational Bible college in the country’s conflict-affected Middle Belt.
There, John taught courses on Christian mission, scripture, and development, while responding to the realities of displacement and violence caused by Islamic extremism in the region. His work became centred on helping the church grapple with hard questions: What is the Christian response to violence and hatred? What does it mean to love your enemies in practice?
During this time John began working alongside Nigerian peacebuilding projects that brought Muslim and Christian youth together through computer training centres—now active in seven communities. These experiences led him to complete an MA in Conflict, Peacebuilding, and Reconciliation in 2022, equipping him to further support churches and ministries in divided or fragile contexts.
Now based in the UK, John leads programme development and impact at Seek Peace, working with partners in Nigeria, Ghana, Lebanon, Kenya, and the UK. He is a gifted communicator and strategic thinker, able to translate rich theological and ethical principles into practical action for leaders, churches, and communities navigating conflict and change.
John communicates with clarity, conviction, and compassion. He challenges young people to think deeply about faith, justice, reconciliation, and how to be a Kingdom presence in a fractured world.
Kay Hodge
Kay is a passionate communicator, development practitioner, and visionary leader with a deep heart for Jesus, justice, and the local church. Growing up in Newcastle, Australia, as the daughter of church planters, Kay developed a love for the church and cross-cultural mission early in life.
She studied Community Development at a Christian college in Queensland and began her career with Compassion Australia, engaging supporters in child advocacy and global mission. In 2016, driven by a desire to live out Jesus’ call to peace and justice, Kay and her husband John moved to Nigeria’s Middle Belt to serve in post-conflict ministry.
There, Kay led two crisis response homes for children orphaned and displaced by Boko Haram violence. She developed trauma-informed care programs, supported youth back into education, and raised up local leaders to continue the work. During this season, Kay also completed her MSc in Sustainable Development and became a mother to two children, Abraham and Eleanor.
After relocating to the UK in 2020, Kay founded Seek Peace—a ministry equipping Christian communities for grassroots peacebuilding in Nigeria, Ghana, Lebanon, Kenya, and the UK. She currently serves as its Research and Ops Director, leading a growing international team and partnering with churches and ministries in some of the world’s most challenging contexts.
In 2023, Kay joined a research project at King’s College London exploring the social impact of religion and peacebuilding. In 2025, she was awarded a prestigious four-year doctoral studentship by the UK’s Economic and Social Research Council to investigate the role of moral identity and faith in building courageous friendships across religious divides in conflict and post conflict settings.
Kay is known for her clarity, conviction, and compassionate voice on issues of justice, reconciliation, and Kingdom witness. She speaks with depth and inspiration, especially to young people discerning their role in God's global mission
